The Painting

He hangs a painting
representing reality, in blue.
Obscuring insanity,
an ever deepening crack
beneath the frame,
a story obscuring the remains
of what he used to be,
hiding - afraid
of responsibility,
he lives, a painted story,
obscuring the cracks
of reality.

  1. I love this. I love these words. They're so deep and show the way you wanted to characterize the person.

  2. Thank you for your comment. It's not entirely my characterisation - It's based on a common characterisation of Pablo Picasso, but one that I reckon works as a metaphor for many people.
